For All Ages

It's easy to participate! Pick up a bookmark at the library's front desk. Fill in a circle for every 30 minutes that you read or listen to a book. When all of the circles are filled, return the bookmark to the library and claim your goodie bag! All entries will go into a grand prize drawing for a gift basket. 

¡Es fácil participar! Toma un marcador en la recepción de la biblioteca. Llena un círculo por cada 30 minutos que leas o escuches un libro. Cuando todos los círculos estén llenos, devuelve el marcador a la biblioteca y reclama tu bolsa de sorpresas. Todas las participaciones entrarán en un sorteo para una canasta de regalos.

Stop by the circulation desk starting on February 3 to pick up an Otter Valentine take and make craft for kids. Available while supplies last.

Join us every 2nd Wednesday of the month, January-May, for a monthly career-themed storytime that will be presented with the help of community members. Each storytime will explore a new career and offer opportunities to play and learn with hands-on activities. February's storytime will feature a police officer and will be held at the Cravath Lakefront Community Center on Wednesday, February 12 at 9:30 a.m.

Únase a nosotros cada segundo miércoles del mes, de enero a mayo, para disfrutar de una hora de cuentos mensual con temática profesional que se presentará con la ayuda de miembros de la comunidad. Cada hora de cuentos explorará una nueva carrera y ofrecerá oportunidades para jugar y aprender con actividades prácticas. La hora de cuentos de febrero contará con la participación de un oficial de policía y se llevará a cabo en el Centro Comunitario Cravath Lakefront el miércoles 12 de febrero a las 9:30 a. m.

Drop into the library's Makerspace during the month of January to create a Valentine's Day card! Materials will be available through February 14. Children under age eleven MUST be accompanied by an adult in the Makerspace.

For adults and teens! We are honoring Black History Month by celebrating black excellence in the arts! Learn about contemporary artist Lorna Simpson and create your own piece of art inspired by her innovative style with a collage take & make kit. Available starting on February 10, while supplies last.

 

Stop by the front desk starting on February 18 and pick up a Tea of the Month Club kit. Learn about and try a different tea each month! February's featured tea is Jasmine. Available while supplies last.
